The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists Section of Psychotherapy Conference was held at the Sebel Albert Park Hotel from 22 to 24 July 2011, with a theme of "Loosening the Gordian Knot: Psychotherapy with the difficult patient". The conference was headlined by keynote presentations by Glen Gabbard, Professor of Psychiatry and Brown Foundation Chair of Psychoanalysis at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
